This article is my first about Karate statistics. I am gathering:
1) Age
2) Style
3) Uniform Color
4) Favorite Kata
5) Monthly Cost
A huge thanks to Mike for saving me a whole bunch of time again. Normally it is in the form of photos, but today he suggested that I use Google Docs instead of manually entering information into excel. Below is the form you can fill out to automatically add your information to the spreadsheet. If you do not want to enter something, you can simply skip it, but I emphasize that all information gathered is for researching trends in the Karate community and will not be used for commercial gain. Entering your real name is not necessary, but I will use this information for future questionaries, so entering some identifiable username that you will remember in the future would be helpful. Thank you everyone for your help on this project.
Mike certainly would be one to suggest Google Docs–it’s a great timesaver for stuff like this but since I hardly ever use it I hadn’t thought of it, and this is a great way to use it! Hopefully we have a good turnout on this little survey because I think it could really provide some interesting insight
It is amazing. So far we have a handful of randomly contributed data. If this is a success (we get 200+ submissions returned), I will spend some time with my school’s research department and get some suggestions on how to track trends and then start asking some more questions.
