Good article. In addition to Go Kenki, there was another Chinese martial artist in Okinawa, named Tang Dai Zing. My teacher, Grandmaster Trias was taught by a Chinese named Tong Gee Tsing, who had also trained in both China and Okinawa.

Let me know how the book goes when you read it. I am thinking that book reviews may be my next thing to do - I have a pretty large collection laying around and most deserve some kind words and free publicity. Speaking of free publicity - I enjoyed reading your site http://adaptiveshotokan.yolasite.com Oss!

This was a great read, I haven't delved to far into history of Goju-ryu. So I can see why, as you said in the article, it would be rare for me to have run across his name. I read avidly across style's and school's of thought, but have neglected Goju a bit. I ordered a book, Ryuho No Hon; Scot Mertz that discussed Goju in fair depth I believe. I haven't received it in the mail yet. Also Scot is another student of my teacher, so out of respect for his work I need to read it. Hopefully, it will fill in the gaps for me. Looks to me though like your article already has. Osu.
