I am an instructor at United Martial Arts Academy in Elkhart, Indiana when I am not teaching at the Air Force Academy. I have been involved in karate for 11 years and have taught for the past 7 years. I have been to tournaments and seminars of all sizes, but I can talk about all that later.

My intent behind this blog is to (in no particular order):

1) Keep a written record of the things I discuss in class.
2) Offer a written record of the things I do on my own but don’t have time to teach in class.
3) Establish the name “Okinawan Karate-Do Institute” as my own personal school of karate.
4) Answer questions.
5) Upload Videos as another method of spreading knowledge.

As time goes on, I will try to elaborate more about:

a) My background in karate.
b) The school I teach at.
c) The school I am trying to set up.
